Can Cupping Really Help with Cellulite Reduction?

Can Cupping really help with cellulite reduction?

The short answer is yes.

A lot of what cellulite is, is lack of circulation.  Cupping is so good at improving circulation that it can actually reduce the look of cellulite.  It will not make it go away completely, but it can definitely minimize the look of it.

Also, the deep myofascial release will help to unstick your muscles from each other.  This will help to smooth them out and tone the problem areas.  Cupping also clears and shrinks the pores.  It even boosts the collagen.  So, your skin will look healthier and smoother.

What to expect:

Cups are placed strategically on specific problematic cellulite areas and suction is applied.  Initially, the cups will feel pinchy and sharp.  But, this usually settles down after 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

As with Therapeutic Cupping, perfect circle red marks may be left on the skin.  The darker the marks, the more problematic (tighter, more fascial restriction, less circulation) the area was.  Cupping marks on the legs usually do not get as dark as they might on the back and shoulders and they usually go away quicker.  The marks can last anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks.  The marks will likely start going away faster after each session and will get lighter and lighter.  This is visual proof that the circulation is improving and therefore the cellulite is reducing.

For best results, six 10 minute sessions are recommended for optimal cellulite reduction.  2 sessions per week for 3 weeks is the ideal schedule for treatment.

You may start to see improvement in the cellulite appearance in as little as 1 session.

Besides cellulite reduction, other benefits from the cupping therapy include:

Improves circulation

Boosts immune system

Boosts lymphatic system

Better range of motion in hips

Less tension on the knee and hip joint

Can reduce knee, hip, and glut pain

Pain relief in area treated

How long do the results last?

The answer to that depends on you.  If you are an active person, then the results will last longer.  If you have healthy eating habits, this will also help.  If you lead a more sedentary lifestyle, then the results may not last as long.

People will often return months later for maintenance.

I actually have a lot of regular clients that have cellulite reduction cupping and therapeutic cupping done on a regular basis.  After people experience the benefits of cupping, they come back and want more.  This is also the case for Facial Rejuvenation Cupping and Abdominal Cupping.
